Dr. Anne Carol Goldberg is an associate professor of medicine in the division of endocrinology, metabolism and lipid research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she does research as well as treating patients with lipid disorders at the Medical School's outpatient Center for Advanced Medicine.

After earning a medical degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Dr. Goldberg completed an internship and a residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. She subsequently completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Washington University in School of Medicine.

Dr. Goldberg's research and clinical interests included dietary modifications and drug therapies for hyperlipidemia and the treatment of familial hypercholesterolemia.

She is a fellow of the National Lipid Association, as well as the American College of Physicians and the American Heart Association; and she is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.
