Paresh Dandona MD, PhD, is a Distinguished Professor and the Chief of Endocrinology in the department of medicine at SUNY- University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. Dr. Dandona's specialty and research focus are Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. His education and training began with a BS in Chemistry at Allahabad University and continued with a MBBS in Medicine from All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He continued on with receiving his PhD from Oxfor University. 

Along with his duties at SUNY, Dr. Dandona is the Founder & Medical Director of the Diabetes-Endocrinology Center of Western New York and Chief at Kaleida Health. He holds many distinguished honors and awards, such as Pharmacia Award (2002), Valor Award (2001), Distinguished Service Award (2001), Madhav Award (1997), Alert Award (1996), Distinguished Service Award (1993), and Rhodes Scholarship (1966).
